Classic Churros

I love these traditional churros. The best part is that they are ready in less than 15 minutes.

These are the perfect dessert or sweet snack for adults and kids.

Ingredients 

– butter – vanilla extract – all-purpose flour – eggs

STEP 1

Heat the water, salt and melted butter in a large saucepan over medium-high heat. Once simmering, add the flour and stir.

STEP 2

Once a dough is formed, add in the vanilla extract and the eggs one at a time, stirring and mashing the dough.

STEP 3

Transfer the mixture to a large piping bag fitted with a large open star tip. Pipe the soft dough directly into the hot oil.

STEP 4

Cook until dough puffs and turns golden brown, turning halfway through so all sides evenly cook.

STEP 5

Place your frying oil into a dutch oven and heat until the temperature on a candy thermometer reads 350 degrees for the oil.
