The Heartiest French Onion Soup With Beef

Ingredients 

– Chuck Roast – Shallots – Gruyere cheese – Pinot grigio – Parsley – Thyme

STEP 1

Pat dry the chuck roast and cover your chuck roast with salt and black pepper.

STEP 2

Once seared, remove the chuck roast. Place the onions and white wine in the Instant Pot and sauté for 5 minutes.

STEP 3

Add the chuck roast back into Instant Pot. Then, add the parsley, thyme, garlic powder, beef broth, remaining salt and bay leaves.

STEP 4

Close the Instant Pot and set to Pressure Cook at high pressure for 1 hour. Preheat oven to 400 degrees F. Break down the beef into smaller shreds.

STEP 5

Set onion soup bowls on baking sheet and fill each with about 1 ½ cups soup. Top each bowl with toasted baguette slices.
