Ingredients

  • 2 tablespoons Pistachio cream
  • 8 oz 2% milk
  • 2 shots Espresso coffee
  • ¼ cup Whipped cream optional
  • 1 teaspoon crushed pistachios optional

Instructions

  • First you'll need to make 2 ounces or shots of espresso coffee.
  • Then, you'll need to heat and froth milk of choice.
  • In your 12oz mug of choice, you'll add your pistachio cream.
  • Pour your espresso coffee into the mug.
  • Using a handheld milk frother, mix the pistachio sauce and espresso shots until combined.
  • Slowly pour in your frothed milk into the espresso.
  • Lastly, top your latte with whipped cream and sprinkle on the crushed pistachios.

Notes

  • Careful when adding your whipped cream, too much will make your latte overflow!
  • Be sure to use espresso that has been brewed within 5 minutes of making the latte. Otherwise, the espresso may develop a bitter flavor.

Don't have an espresso maker? Use a moka pot instead
Want a nondairy starbucks' pistachio latte? Opt instead for almond milk, coconut milk, oat milk or your choice of plant-based milk
Want to sweeten up your latte? Although pistachio cream is sweet, you can add additional sweeteners like maple syrup, simple syrup or agave.

How can I make this seasonal pistachio latte iced?

If you'd like to enjoy this as an iced pistachio latte, do not froth your milk. Add your pistachio cream and espresso to a glass and stir using a frother until completely combined. Then add your ice and cold milk. Top with whipped cream and crushed pistachios.
