Blackberry Galette With Homemade Whipped Cream Recipe

This blackberry galette recipe is one of my favorites to make during the hotter months. The berries are slightly tart and refreshing.

This recipe is made with flakey pie crust filled with raspberries and topped with homemade whipped cream.

Ingredients 

– Blackberries – Sugar – All purpose flour – Cinnamon – Sea salt – Egg yolk

STEP 1

Make your pie filling by combining blackberries, cup of sugar, tablespoon of flour and pinch of cinnamon.

STEP 2

Over a lightly floured surface, roll out the dough to a 10-12 inch circle. Then, dump the blackberry mixture into the center. Fold the edges up.

STEP 3

Make an egg wash, then brush the egg wash over the dough for a shiny and golden crust.

STEP 4

Place that bad boy in the oven for 30 minutes. While it's baking, go ahead and make your whipped cream.

STEP 5

Wait for the galette to cool completely, sprinkle lemon zest over the top and then add a big dollop of the whipped cream.
