Guilt-Free, Oven Baked Yuca Fries

These yuca fries are crispy on the outside and tender on the inside and are great as a snack or side dish.

By baking the fries we achieve a great texture without the excess oil and calories of a traditionally fried food.

Ingredients 

– Frozen Yuca – Vegetable Oil – Yellow Onion – Garlic Powder – Lime

STEP 1

Boil yuca over medium heat until it's cooked, but not mushy; about 30- 40 minutes.

STEP 2

Preheat your oven to 400F. Place the yuca fries in a baking pan in a single layer and pour the oil and spice mixture over. Top with onion rings.

STEP 3

Place the yuca in the oven for 15 minutes uncovered.

STEP 4

Flip the yuca and place the yuca back in the oven for another 15 minutes.

STEP 5

Remove from the oven, garnish with fresh parsley and enjoy.
