Bahamian Rum Cake

I have made several rum cake recipes over the years, but this is by far my favorite. This is the best rum cake I have ever made.

There is a lot of booze in this cake, but it works perfectly and is not over powering.

WHY YOU'LL LOVE THIS

Ingredients 

– All-purpose flour – Brown sugar – Granulated sugar – Baking powder – Good aged dark rum

STEP 1

Combine dry ingredients and butter. Add to the large bowl, the pudding mix and wet ingredients then combine on medium speed for 2 to 3 minutes.

STEP 2

Sprinkle in the chopped walnuts in a Bundt pan.

STEP 3

Pour the batter into the Bundt pan.

STEP 4

Bake for about 55 minutes- until fully golden and tooth pick comes out clean.

STEP 5

Remove from oven and place on a cooling rack while making the soaking glaze.
