Notes

Storage

The pancake buns will keep in the freezer for up to 1 month. Once you've cooked the McGriddle pancakes, allow them to cool completely. Layer pancakes between sheets of waxed paper and place inside a reusable freezer bag or airtight container.
When it's time to reheat your frozen pancakes, place your pancakes in the toaster or toaster oven and heat until warm.

Substitutions/Variations

Don't like maple syrup? Simply omit it from the pancakes.
Want a meatless McGriddle breakfast sandwich? Simply omit the bacon or sausage.
Want a dairy free McGriddle? Replace the milk in the pancake batter with your choice of dairy free milk, replace the butter in the pancake batter with vegetable oil and omit the cheese from the sandwich.
Don't want to use a metal biscuit cutter? You can also use metal mason jar lids or a ring mold
Don't want a fried egg on your McDonald's copycat McGriddle? Opt for a folded egg by scrambling your eggs and folding them up.
Don't want to make homemade pancakes from scratch? Use your favorite pancake mix instead.
