Equipment
For this you'll need a blender and margarita glasses
Top tip
Fresh mango vs. store bought nectar: If you're able to get fresh mangoes, you can peel and chop them then place them in the freezer over night. If you don't have access to fresh mangoes, frozen mangoes from your freezer section will do!
Tajin vs salt: Classic margaritas use salt on the rim, but with Chamoy mangonadas Tajin is a must! If you don't like tajin, you can opt for a salt rim.
Chill the glasses. This drink tastes best when it is extra cold. If you have the time, chill the margarita glasses in the fridge.
Storage options for this mango margarita
Immediate serving: This drink is best enjoyed right after blending, when the texture is thick, icy, and smooth.
Short term freezer storage: Pour leftovers into an airtight, freezer safe container and freeze for up to 24 hours. Before serving, let it sit at room temperature for a few minutes, then re blend or stir well to restore the slushy texture.
Make ahead option: Blend all ingredients except the ice, store the mixture in the refrigerator for up to 24 hours, then blend with ice just before serving.
Ice cube method: Freeze the margarita mixture in ice cube trays. When ready to serve, blend the cubes until smooth for a freshly frozen drink.
