It's that time of year for scary movies and spooky snacks! Everyone loves a fun Halloween themed snack or festive Halloween appetizer! These chicken parm monster sliders are the perfect snack for your Halloween parties!

These chicken parm sliders can be enjoyed for a fun dinner by the whole family or a spooky Halloween snack at a party. Halloween is honestly my favorite holiday and preparing Halloween food is the highlight for me.

    Ingredients needed

This is such an easy recipe and you'll only need

    • your choice of frozen chicken tenders
    • your choice of slider buns (Hawaiian sweet rolls, yeast bread rolls, potato bread etc)
    • Mozzarella cheese
    • Marinara or spaghetti tomato sauce of choice
    • green olives stuffed with pimento

    Equipment needed

For these fun halloween snacks, you all you need is a good pairing knife and toothpicks

How to make your Halloween chicken parm monster sliders

    • First thing you'll need to do is remove the chicken tenders from the freezer and cook them as directed in their packaging.
    • While the chicken tenders are cooking, prepare your cheese slices. Using a pairing knife cut the edges of your cheese to look like sharp teeth.
    • Prepare your green olive eyes by skewering one olive on a toothpick. You'll need two olives per slider to make the monster eyes.
    • Then, warm your marinara over medium heat until simmering.
    • Once your chicken tenders are cooked and out of the oven, begin assembling your sliders.
    • On the bottom slider bun, place about 1 tablespoon of marinara sauce.
    • over the marinara, place your hot chicken tender.
    • Over your chicken tender add additional marinara if desired.
    • Then, place your mozzarella cheese and be sure that the "teeth" part of the cheese is facing forward.
    • Place the top bun on the sandwich and then skewer two olives onto the top bun to make the monster.
    • Serve immediately to your little goblins

    Variations

Not a chicken parm fan? Opt instead for a bacon, cheddar and bbq sauce slider.

Want a spicy buffalo and blue cheese version? Swap the your marinara sauce and mozzarella for buffalo sauce and blue cheese crumbles. Add fresh jalapeño slices for an extra kick.

Can you make these ahead of time ?

I definitely recommend carving the details on the cheese slices ahead of time to save yourself the trouble before your gathering. The cheese slices can be carved upto 3-4 days in advance as long as they're being kept in an airtight container in the refrigerator.

I also recommend preparing your Spanish olives ahead of time. Once your olives are ready with their toothpicks, you can place them in an airtight container and keep in the refrigerator until ready to use.

    Storage

Have a lot of chicken parm monster sliders left over after your Halloween party or Halloween dinner? Cooked sliders can be stored in an airtight container in the refrigerator for upto 3 days. Reheat in the microwave covered with a damn paper towel to ensure the theu don't dry out.

My name is Cari and I'm the person behind FatgirlHedonist.com. I'm born and raised in Miami (Hialeah if you'd like specifics) and proud Latina. I'm a single mom to a very curious toddler. I completed a culinary program in high school that made my love of food blossom, but my career went in a very different direction. No matter what turns my life has taken, cooking, baking and eating have always been three of my favorite activities. I'm lucky enough that I can have this blog as an outlet for those three passions.
