Take your classic mimosa up a level by swapping out orange juice for sweet guava juice. This tropical mimosa makes for the perfect refreshing brunch cocktail!

Growing up as a Cuban in South Florida, eating fresh guavas is part of the culture. So adding this fun spin to a traditional mimosa seemed natural to me. This is a great drink for spring, bridal showers or any hot summer day.

What you'll need for this guava mimosa recipe

    • Fun ice cube tray
    • champagne flutes

    Ingredients for these delicious mimosas

    • Guava juice or guava nectar
    • Brut champagne

    Instructions

Start by placing one cup guava nectar and place it in the ice tray mold. Place the ice tray in the freezer.

Once the ice cubes are set, remove them from the tray and place as many ice cubes as you'd like in your champagne glass.

Add an additional splace of guava juice to the champagne glass.

Open your bottle of champagne carefully and fill the champagne glasses with as much or as little champagne as you'd like.

    Variations for this

    • Don't have access to Guava juice? Opt for your favorite tropical fruit juice like papaya nectars .
    • Don't have Brut Champagne? Opt instead for , sparkling wine or a prosecco of choice
    • Want a non-alcoholic mimosa? Swap out the champagne for club soda
    • If you have access to fresh guava fruit, add some diced guava to your ice cube tray for added garnish and flavor
    • Garnish with mint leaves if desired

My name is Cari and I'm the person behind FatgirlHedonist.com. I'm born and raised in Miami (Hialeah if you'd like specifics) and proud Latina. I'm a single mom to a very curious toddler. I completed a culinary program in high school that made my love of food blossom, but my career went in a very different direction. No matter what turns my life has taken, cooking, baking and eating have always been three of my favorite activities. I'm lucky enough that I can have this blog as an outlet for those three passions.
