There are few things I love more than coffee and Nutella, so it was only natural to combine the two. This latte is a Nutella lover's dream and the perfect start to any day.

    Why you'll love this latte

    • This coffee is perfect for fall
    • It combines rich Nutella with bold espresso for the perfect latte.
    • This Nutella coffee drink can be enjoyed hot or cold

    What is Nutella?

Nutella is an Italian spread made of cocoa and sweetened hazelnuts. It's a creamy and delicious chocolate hazelnut spread that is great on just about everything, especially coffee.

what are the ingredients in this Nutella latte?

    • Nutella
    • Your choice of milk
    • Espresso coffee
    • Whipped cream (optional)

    Instructions

    • First you'll need to make 2 ounces or shots of espresso coffee.
    • Then, you'll need to heat and froth your milk of choice.
    • In your 12oz mug of choice, you'll add your Nutella.
    • Pour your espresso coffee into the mug.
    • using a handheld frother, mix the Nutella and espresso until combined.
    • Slowly pour in your frothed milk into the espresso.
    • Lastly, top your latte with whipped cream and drizzle on additional Nutella
    • Sit back and enjoy your warm Nutella coffee drink.

what equipment will you need to make this chocolate hazelnut latte at home?

    • Espresso machine like this one or this one.
    • A handheld milk frother

    Hot tip

    • Careful when adding your whipped cream, too much will make your latte overflow!
    • Be sure to use espresso that has been brewed within 5 minutes of making the latte. Otherwise, the espresso may develop a bitter flavor.

    VARIATIONS

Don't like Nutella? You can opt for a cookie butter latte instead.

how can I make this latte iced?

If you'd like to enjoy this as an iced nutella latte, do not froth your milk. Add your nutella and espresso to a glass and stir using a frother until completely combined. Then add your ice and cold milk. Top with whipped cream and Nutella drizzle.

My name is Cari and I'm the person behind FatgirlHedonist.com. I'm born and raised in Miami (Hialeah if you'd like specifics) and proud Latina. I'm a single mom to a very curious toddler. I completed a culinary program in high school that made my love of food blossom, but my career went in a very different direction. No matter what turns my life has taken, cooking, baking and eating have always been three of my favorite activities. I'm lucky enough that I can have this blog as an outlet for those three passions.
